I recently visited Lodz (pronounced wuj) in Poland.
Its the 3rd largest polish city. Its located in central Poland.Its a former industrial city as you will notice from the buildings.Lodz was well now for textile industries.

Most of the shopping centers,malls, Hotels,restaurants are in housed in buildings that used to be textile factories.
Now lodz is an important commercial center with 2 big IT companies based in the City.
Infosys and Dell have started operations in Lodz city.

The biggest attraction is Piotrkowska Street which is one of the longest commercial street in the world.
There are lots of nice restaurants and cafes along the street.My favourites are piazza cafe and Manekin.
I highly recommend Manekin for the pancakes.
Unfortunately for us halal foodies there is limited meat choice.I came accross only one restaurant that claims to serve halal meat.
Polish people are very good with pastries.They make delicious cakes and all sorts of pastries.
Another good place to visit is Manufactura a shopping mall with its modern shops,cinema and restaurants.
We had a pizza at Pizza Hut.nice 'marrakesh pizza really enjoyed it.
I met a lot of Africa students at the  Medical University of Łódź (Uniwersytet Medyczny w Łodzi)
I was also privileged to attend Friday prayers at the universiy.
At the moment there is no Mosque in Lodz,all muslim men go to the University for prayers.
